—- Lusheng

  4. “A voice of one calling in the desert, `Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.
Every valley shall be filled in, every mountain and hill made low. The crooked roads shall become straight, the rough ways smooth.
And all mankind will see God’s salvation.’ ”
When God sent the prophet Isaiah to proclaim the Messiah’s prophecy, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came into the world to fulfill the grace of redemption and save the sinners of the world. And God sent Isaiah to proclaim that John the Baptist would “prepare the way” for Jesus Christ. John is a “preacher”, not a “savior.”

In the darkness of sin, that every inclination of the thoughts of man’s heart was only evil all the time; no peace, no contentment, no inner joy, no the hope of eternal life, this is the situation before we have been saved by believe in Christ.
Thank the Lord, someone in our live who have helped us, prepared the way for us, led us to hear the Gospel of salvation, led us to Christ, helped us to believe in Jesus Christ, to be saved, to be forgiven for sin, to endure eternal life.

Thanks to the Lord, he has arranged a “John” in our lives, maybe a brother or sister, may be a teacher or classmate, may be a colleague or friend, may be a friend, relative or neighbor. Maybe they were struggling with sharing, maybe they just live out the testimony of life, maybe they just made an invitation, maybe they just prayed for us. Praise the Lord, they are our “John”.

Lord, I thank you for sent a John in my life, help me to known you, to believe You, to be saved, to have new life, to become Your children, to enter Your Kingdom, to have peace, joy, and hope for eternal life.
Lord, help me, use me, make me to be someone’s John. —- Solomon Liu
