Hebrew 1:1-14;2:1-18
Jesus, our Savior
…… but in these last days He has spoken to us through his Son
In many societies and cultures, a person’s history and/or genealogy is important. We especially see this in countries where there is a monarch and sometimes even here in American. Some ones importance or place in society can be based on his or hers parents, grandparents and so on.
The book of Hebrews begins in a similar fashion , by reminding us that he has made Jesus heir of all things. He is above all people, the angles and all we do or pursue, and in verse 8 of chapter 2, we see God has placed everything under Him or subject to Him.
Yet with this, he is not ashamed to call us brothers.
If we go back to the beginning of chapter 2, we are given somewhat of a warning.
We all have seen those yellow signs warning us of a wet surface or construction. CAUTION!
We must pay careful attention to what we have heard and not drift or fall away.
God have sent us His son, placed Him above the angels and things of the earth, at His right hand.
This Jesus, who calls us brothers, became our salvation.
He is worthy!
Today it’s my prayer that we all be reminded of who he is and what he did for us. He was placed at the side of our almighty God and given all authority. Yet he left that throne and crown in exchange for a cross and thorns , for each of us Let us not forget
In Christ, BILL B
